Are you the mom or dad in the stands who's always snapping photos at Little League games? That penchant could win you a prize in a contest sponsored by Little League and Canon U.S.A. Up for grabs are three chances to win a trip to the Little League World Series in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania, in August, and meet TV personality Mario Lopez.
The contest is currently open, and contestants can upload images online. Photos must be based on three monthly themes. The May portion of the contest focused on gameplay, has already closed and is being judged. The June theme is "Fandemonium." That's the fans, whether it's the crowd doing the wave or parents cheering on the sidelines for their kids, says a spokesman for Canon, which is based in Melville. The July theme hasn't yet been announced, he said.
"Canon is thrilled to support the Little League World Series, capturing special moments of fans, families and players," Yuichi Ishizuka, president and chief operating officer, Canon U.S.A., Inc., said in a news release.
The contest is open to U.S. and Canadian residents aged 18 and older. To submit your photos and read the official rules, visit littleleague.org/canonphotocontest.
