It's a peanut-free afternoon with the Ducks on Saturday, June 21.

Baseball-loving kids with peanut allergies may want to check out the Long Island Ducks on the afternoon of June 21 — it’s a peanut-free game at the Bethpage Ballpark, 3 Court House Dr. in Central Islip.

“Everyone knows the line from the song, ‘Buy me some peanuts and Cracker Jack,” Ducks director of group sales John Wolff said in a news release. “However, for some of our biggest fans, peanut allergies make it very difficult for them to come to the ballpark. One of the Ducks’ core values is making sure everybody has a chance to see a fun, affordable professional baseball game, and we’re continuing that mission by hosting a peanut-free event.”

No peanuts will be sold throughout the ballpark throughout the game. In addition, all food sold during the game will not contain peanuts or peanut oil.

The peanut-free day will take place during the afternoon game of a day/night doubleheader, with gates opening at 12:05 p.m. The Ducks will be taking on seven-time NBA All-Star Tracy McGrady and the Sugar Land Skeeters.

Tickets are for sale at a discounted rate of $9 each at by entering the password “peanut.” For more information, visit
