Parents either love or hate the Elf on the Shelf, but thanks to one Long Island mom, coming up with creative scenarios became a whole lot easier this year.

Christina Noto of Bellmore, and owner of The Northern Charm Co., makes Elf on the Shelf kits featuring preplanned activities, helping parents who may be struggling for new ideas each night.

“While I was trying to come up with my own son’s elf ideas this year, I thought it would be great to also help out other parents," Noto said.

The kit is available in 24-day or 12-day sets, with fun props such as a dunk tank with marshmallow snowballs, a rocket ship, a mini Twister board, a tic-tac-toe game, a beach scene with sand and an umbrella, a magic rainbow with Skittles and more.

Noto started The Northern Charm Co. three years ago after her son was born. She became a stay-at-home mom, allowing her to spend more time designing clothing, which she's always loved to do. Her hobby eventually turned into an online clothing and accessories boutique, offering adult clothing, birthday, holiday and christening outfits, hair crowns and bows, and more.

The price of the 24-day kit is $60 and the 12-day set is $30. For more information, visit and the company's Facebook page.
