Eric Carle, renowned author and illustrator of more than 70 books, has teamed up with the best-known picture book illustrators for a new children's book, "What's Your Favorite Animal?" (Henry Holt and Co., $17.99).

Every spread in the book features an artist's favorite animal with a creative answer to the timeless question. Some animals are described with a brief poem, others with personal anecdotes.  The roster of illustrators includes Mo Willems, Rosemary Wells, Jon Klassen, Chris Raschka, Susan Jeffers, Peter Sis, Erin Stead and more.

All royalties from "What's Your Favorite Animal?" will be donated to The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art, created to inspire a love of art and reading through picture books.
