A dish made famous by Dr. Seuss — green eggs and ham — is on the menu through March 18 at the Milleridge Village cafe at the Milleridge Inn in Jericho.

The temporary addition honors the children’s book author’s March 2 birthday. It’ll also be available to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.

The classic illustrated book “Green Eggs and Ham” was published in 1960 and asks the question “Do you like green eggs and ham?” The rhyming answer includes “I do not like them in a house. I do not like them with a mouse. I do not like them here or there. I do not like them anywhere.”

Green eggs and ham at the Milleridge includes two scrambled eggs colored green, once slice of ham and one slice of toast. It costs $3.50 and is served 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. The Milleridge Inn is at 585 N. Broadway, Jericho. For more information, call 516-931-2201 or visit milleridgeinn.com.
