The hottest new toys announced at Toy Fair 2019

The 116th annual North American International Toy Fair at the Javits Center offered something for every kind of kid. The four-day event, where more than 1,000 companies debuted toys for 2019 included augmented-reality robots and coding toys, new kinds of slime and other squishy items, collectibles (L.O.L. Surprise, Treasure X), unique family games, playsets from TV and movies, and a fresh take on Fingerlings, classic plush toys and more.

While it's hard to say what the best new toys of 2019 will be, here are some your kids may be clamoring for this year.

Grrrumball

Grrrumball, who growls and grumbles, features light-up eyes and rotating treads. The creature can be controlled through the joystick or be set to one of the two attack modes. In the Super Spin Attack, the Grrrumball moves forward quickly and strikes unsuspecting victims, but in the Arm Smash Attack, it will go into a whirling motion of arm chops.
