Julia, new ‘Sesame Street’ puppet on autism spectrum, to be featured at Long Island reading

Julia, the new “Sesame Street” puppet who is on the autism spectrum, will be featured in doll form at a reading of the book “We’re Amazing 1, 2, 3” during a movement therapy and story time at 4:30 p.m. today, at The Center for Integrative & Innovative Therapies in Plainview.

The free event is open to kids on the spectrum along with siblings, peers and friends. R.S.V.P. requested at 516-243-8660. The center is at 131 Sunnyside Blvd., Suite 100.

Julia debuted as a physical Muppet in a “Sesame Street” episode that aired on April 10, 2017. She’s a 4-year-old girl with orange hair and green eyes.
