We met actress Jennifer Stone, who stars on the TV show “Wizards of Waverly Place,” at Planet Hollywood in Manhattan recently.

Did you make any friends from “Wizards of Waverly Place”?

Yeah. Everybody on that show is like a second family. Selena  is one of my best friends. She will be, if I ever get married, one of my bridesmaids. I love that girl.

Do you ever Google your name?

I did and it’s a huge mistake. Do not do it. If you’re really big and famous, which I’m sure you will be someday, don’t Google yourself because it’s a bunch of people who are bored and they say mean things and people say really nice things, but for every one nice comment are like 20 bad ones. I really don’t like to do that anymore.

Why do you wear food clothes on the show?

I don’t know. It was just  watermelon shirt from the beginning title. It just took a really dramatic turn from there and I get more and more crazy, nutty. It was just a character choice we made.

What is your favorite food dress to wear on your show?

I don’t know, because the first season we knocked out a lot of food stuff. I enjoyed the cupcake. I think the cupcake was funny, and a little trivia: that was actually a candle that they glued to the headband.

Do the cast members ever play pranks on each other?

David and Jake  have this kind of prank war happening. So when they’re not pranking each other, it’s probably David DeLuise. Because David and Jake are kind of crazy and pulling crap? on each other. So it’s David DeLuise is just nuts all the time.

Do you have to wear a disguise when you go out in public so people don’t recognize you?

No, not really. I get just enough , so I can really enjoy it. The thing that always gets me is my voice is really weird. I don’t know what my voice sounds like, but it’s pretty distinct. So when I start talking that’s when I see it click in people’s heads. So I just have to keep quiet, which is really hard for me.

What is your favorite thing to do when you’re not acting?

I really enjoy staying in my pajamas and not having makeup on. That’s one of my favorite things. But other than that I’m a big movie buff. I love movies. So most of the time, I just go to the movie theater whether it’s by myself or with friends.

Have you ever been grounded and why?

The last time, I got grounded, I broke curfew. And I won’t do it again. I was grounded for like a month and I wasn’t allowed to leave the house and it was miserable. I love my parents, but it was a lot of togetherness with them. I will be obeying curfew from now on.

How do you feel when you meet your fans?

I’m always flabbergasted whenever I meet people and they say “I love the show,” “I’ve seen you in this and it was awesome.” I’m amazed by that. I feel very lucky anytime that I meet people that enjoyed ‘Wizards’ or anything else that I’ve done.

Who is your favorite singer?

I’m a big musical theater fan. I’d probably have to say I like Idina Menzel a lot? I like her quite a bit and I’m a big fan. I don’t know if you guys are a fan of “Wicked.” But her voice is awesome.

Have you made any of the dresses that you wore in the show?

I’m not that talented of a sewer. I can’t sew anything. Luckily we have a bunch of professionals that put all of this together. The only collaboration I make is what if we put a purse with it. That’s all I’m good for in the clothing department.

Do you still play the guitar?

I don’t. I’m the worst in picking things up. I’m going to be awesome at this and in two weeks I’m like I kind of start practicing. Don’t take a cue from me and don’t do that.

What is your favorite episode of “Wizards of Waverly Place”?

I really think I like the silent movie episode. Because I like Hollywood so much. I’m glad you guys liked it that means we’re doing our jobs.

Did you ever make clothes for your family?

I never did. I have a sewing machine, and it was one of those things where I’m going to be great at this and then two weeks later I’m like, eh! I have a sewing machine and one of these days, I’m going to learn how to sew and be able to make stuff for my family and force them to wear it. Not as of yet.

What is your favorite book?

When I was your age, I loved “Small Steps.” It’s this great book and if you haven’t heard of it it’s all about this girl that gets polio like in the 1960s, and her experience in the hospital. I read books all the time, but that book I read 4-5 times.

Do you drive?

I do; my little red Prius.

Did you have a Sweet Sixteen party?

I did. It was a Hollywood team. I love Hollywood, so everyone was decked out in ’40s gear and we had swing dancers and the whole bit.

In real life who is your best friend?

I have a lot of friends back in Texas. That’s where I’m from. Selena is one of my best friends. Just like I have a friend from kindergarten, named Rebecca, who is one of my best friends. Some friends from theater I’m still really close to.

Do you have a boyfriend?

That’s for me to know and you to move on!

Do you have someone driving you around?

No. My mom and I share a car. Sometimes she drives me when, so she can get the car. Other than that, it’s pretty much just me.

Do you like any sports?

I was so athletic when I was a kid, but somehow I got out of it. I played everything when I was little. I played soccer, softball, basketball, you name it, I played it. I like going to baseball games. That’s about it.

What was your favorite show on TV that you watched before you started acting?

“Boy Meets World.” I loved that show. Have you guys ever seen that show? It must be a generalization thing. There’s a character named Topanga and I wanted to be Topanga so bad.

What did it feel like when you were in your first movie?

It felt really weird. I came from theater. I was use to having a big audience. Go and there this one shot and if you get it wrong, you go, oh well, tough luck kind of thing. And so to be able to say action, cut was very bizarre weird to me. It’s still some of the element of people watching you perform, but to be able to screw up and go back . . . I was what is this . . . I don’t like it. But I got accustomed to it.

What is your favorite animal and why?

I always liked panda bears, and it doesn’t have to do with the Sneezing Panda video. Because I have a real good memory of my grandma going to the zoo to see the pandas. They’re from China. So yeah, I have a fond memory of that.

Do you have a brother or sister?

I have an older brother. He’s the reason I got into acting. I saw him on the stage, and I said I want to do that.

Do you get nervous before performing?

All the time. It’s always uncertain. You never know what’s going to happen. But you learn to use that sort of adrenaline that helps you instead of hurts you.
