Here's our interview with Oscar the Grouch. We met him in Greepoint, Brooklyn last month when he was filming a Christmas special with singer Michael Bublé. "A Michael Bublé Christmas" airs Tuesday, Dec. 6, at 8 p.m. on NBC / 4.

What makes you so grouchy?

Well, it runs in the family. My grandfather was so grouchy he never spoke to me. Yet he wrote down one time he liked me. That's because I was so grouchy, too. Just runs in the family.

Who was your favorite first visitor on "Sesame Street"?

Who could that be? I know! He played Louie DePalma on "Taxi" -- Danny DeVito. I was creating a trash part and they came to judge it. He's very, I hate to say this, funny, but also he was, he could also be grouchy too. Grouches like that.

Why do you prefer living in a trash can rather than a house?

Well, the rents are cheap and I love trash. Oh, I love trash.

What do you like to eat?

Well, I actually like dessert, ice cream and pickles and sardines in them. Hmmm. Makes my mouth water right now.

What do you do for fun?

I collect trash. I yell at people. I crumble up paper and toss it. Try to hit them in the back of the head. When they turn around and look at me, I pretend I didn't do it.

What is it like having a pet worm? Do you and Slimy get along?

Oh yeah. Well, people have pointed out that my pet worm Slimy is the only person that I'm ever nice to. They point out that he's not even a person, but to me he is. Don't you love worms?

You have to leave your trash can some time. If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?

Well there's a swamp I love to go. It's a resort. It's kind of hard to get there you have to slop through the mud. It's called Swamp Mushy Muddy. Swamp Mushy muddy, swamp mushy muddy, it's icky, slushy and cruddy. Swamp mushy muddy. Hit it boys.

What is your favorite other Muppet on "Sesame Street"? Don't worry we won't tell.

OK, thanks for that. Big Bird because I like to yell at it. He hates that.

"Sesame Street" has been around for a long time. How does it feel to be one of the first original residents of "Sesame Street"?

Well, I was first there. That was when I was younger and orange. Like the color of your shirt. Of course, if I took a bath I would be orange. This is moss and mold. How does it feel? Miserable. Why? People are so nice. Hello, how are you? Have a nice day. Ugh.

If you ever go on vacation, would you bring your trash can with you? How would you travel on an airplane?

Well, I have a smaller one I have to squeeze into, but I can ride in the overhead bin. So it saves a lot of money. I just have to try to sneak myself into people's luggage so they take me on the plane for free. TSA usually gets me.

It must be really tough to play hide and go seek with your friends on "Sesame Street." Everyone would know where to find you. Where else would you hide?

That's true I hide in my trash can. I haven't figured, but they always find me in that. Hmmm, I haven't figured it out yet.
