Right as we walked through the doors of California Pizza Kitchen, we were instantly greeted by CPK's manager, Jessica Doyle, who would be our host for the day. Jessica brought us to our table and showed us where we would be making pizzas. We were so excited to interview the manager, tour the kitchen and make our own pizzas.
Jessica gave us supplies to make our own pizza. We placed and spread cheese and sauce on our pizza and after we put our pizzas in the oven, Jessica gave us an extraordinary tour through the kitchen and we got to see how the soda machine works and also how the kitchen runs. We saw how they slice bread, and slice lemons for their drinks and beverages. It was so amazing and we've never seen anything like it.
While the pizza was still cooking, we were inside the refrigerator. It was full of ingredients they needed to make the meals on the menu. We then met the sous chef and we got to see her prepare the food before the restaurant opened.
Jessica served us our pizzas and we munched them down so quickly because they were so good and cooked by the kitchen manager, Dulcy. We interviewed Jessica and it was so much fun. We were having the time of our lives.
And to top off our fun afternoon, Jessica brought out giant ice cream sundaes topped with whipped cream and a cherry.
