A Taylor Swift dream come true

Taylor Swift often sings about fairy tales, and on Aug. 24, Swift and her dad gave me my fairy tale night.

I have been a fan of Swift for more than six years. She inspired me to learn and play guitar and write songs. My mom, sisters and I have attended a few of Taylor's concerts, and all have been nights I could never forget.

However, the most recent Taylor Swift concert I attended was beyond my wildest imagination. I was in Los Angeles with my mom, one of my sisters and my 6-year-old cousin. My mom, who supports my love of music and concerts, found one ticket on the Internet for Taylor's sold-out concert at the Staples Center in L.A.

I gratefully accepted the ticket (and my seat was pretty good), but felt sad that my mom, sister Jacki and cousin Kate could not attend with me.

My mom, Jacki and Kate dropped me at the Staples Center and were going to wait outside the arena and have dinner while I was inside at the concert. I went into the Staples Center and found my seat. Right before Taylor came onstage to sing "Holy Ground," I noticed that her dad was standing right next to me! I decided to say hello and introduced myself to Mr. Swift. We began talking while Taylor was in between songs, and I expressed my love for the guitar, how Taylor inspired me to play and how my family enjoys her music and positive energy.

Mr. Swift was very engaging and said he was thrilled to hear how Taylor was an inspiration to me. And then my fairy tale began.

After I told Mr. Swift that my family was waiting outside the arena for me, he said, "I'll be right back." Within minutes, Mr. Swift came back with four floor seat tickets for myself, my mom, Jacki and Kate. I thanked him profusely, called my mom who was eating at a nearby restaurant and ran to a side door to let my family into the concert.

We all went down to our new seats and had an amazing night. We heard all of our favorite songs and felt so grateful to be together at the concert.
