I tested Augie (Pai Technology), the augmented reality coding robot. I love the Augie toy, and it is especially great for kids that like to code.

For a beginner, like me, I wish the directions were simpler. The set-up requires adult supervision. I think Augie should be for older kids. The app is easy to use. With it you can code the robot’s movements and control it with more than 100 commands. The Augie iPad apps are straightforward but the coding in one of them is difficult.

In all I was super-impressed with the way Augie moves around easily on flat surfaces.
