Cheese Patch is good, any way you slice it

The Cheese Patch is a small gourmet cheese shop on North Ocean Avenue in Patchogue. It sells different varieties of cheese -- for example, Mahon, Edam, Dubliner, Saint Angel and even more.

Paige Pfeifer is the owner of The Cheese Patch, and she has lived in Patchogue her entire life.

Pfeifer has created a cheese-of-the-month club. If you join the club, you will get a club member discount card that you can use in the store. You also can get a platter or a basket for special occasions.

In the other half of the store is Wisteria Lane, a jewelry store that sells bracelets, necklaces and other accessories. It also features baby gifts.

The Cheese Patch and Wisteria Lane are open Tuesday-Sunday. Call 631-438-0393.

If you are in Patchogue, stop by and sample some of the international cheeses. It's worth the trip.
