'Dante' review: Must-read for horse lovers

I read the book, "Dante of the Maury River," by Gigi Amateau. It is about a horse named Dante's Inferno whose grandfather won the Triple Crown.

Everyone expected Dante to be an amazing racehorse like his grandfather. The night Dante was born, he didn't breathe for three whole minutes. While he wasn't breathing, he dreamed that he met his grandfather, Dante's Paradiso. When Dante got older, he went to a barn where he would train to be a racehorse. Dante and his jockey Filipia won a lot of races but after Filipia left, Dante didn't win any more races. Dante became a show horse and was very happy! I recommend it to anyone who likes horses.
