Fall fun at Deepwells Mansion in St. James

Every year Deepwells Mansion in St. James hosts a haunted house around Halloween. Volunteers help decorate the house and scare visitors. It costs absolutely no money to get in and you can go as many times as you want. There’s also lots of exits so if you get too scared you can leave quickly. And if you have a younger sibling there is a safe room where there are coloring books, toys and more.

The mansion, along with the Chamber of Commerce, also hosts a fall festival where kids can pick pumpkins and paint them. We also have lots of food such as corn, ribs, corn dogs, cookies, candy and more if you get hungry. And if you want, you can make a scarecrow that they put up in front of the house. There are many other events at Deepwells that kids will enjoy throughout the year.

It is located: Route 25A and Moriches Road, St. James. You can find out more about them if you visit them on Facebook.
