Where can you find kids when school is out in Port Washington? Here are five favorite places that we recommend, and they are all kid-friendly:

RIO 979 Port Washington Blvd., 516-441-5445. This is a colorful candy shop with lots of toys that are popular and trendy for younger and older kids. We recommend it because it is a great place to get a birthday present and to meet with friends.

16 HANDLES 1005 Port Washington Blvd., 516-439-4715. This is a delicious frozen yogurt shop with 16 different flavors and toppings. On Wednesdays you can get a waffle cup and as much frozen yogurt as you want and as many toppings as you want for only $4. We love all the great choices.

GINO’S PIZZERIA 48 Main St., 516-944-0276. This is an amazing pizzeria that has delicious pizza and other yummy food like chicken, salads, garlic knots, spaghetti and meatballs, and other Italian dishes. We recommend this pizzeria because it has great food and great service.

SMASHBURGER 983 Port Washington Blvd. 516-439-4736. This is a fun place where people who live around here can come to eat and hang out. We recommend this place because their burgers are delicious and their shakes are good, too. Our favorite things to order are cheeseburgers, chicken nuggets and their yummy shakes.

PINE STREET PARK Pine Street. This is a great park for young and older kids. We recommend this park because it has a basketball court, a big playground and a big baseball field with a batting cage. We like to go there to play basketball and to walk our dog. Kids can come there to play, have picnics and have fun.
