Starting a new year can be exciting, but it can also be a time when students get so nervous that they have to try to recover from their first day of school disasters. Admit it, it has happened to you, and you only hope that the first-day disaster doesn’t stay with you all year. I asked some students in my school to share their first day of school traumas.
Here are just a few:
- I fell down the stairs in front of my friends, but I just laughed with them.
- I dropped my pencil case and everything fell out, but luckily other kids helped me, and I just laughed at myself.
- In eighth grade, I got the wrong schedule and ended up in a seventh-grade classroom, so I had to correct my schedule.
- I spilled water on myself so I looked like I peed my pants, so I changed into my gym shorts for the day.
I left my backpack on the bus, so I went to school with only a pen and I told my teachers.
