Fishing means fun, relaxation, spending time with my grandpa

Every summer my brother and I go fishing in upstate New York. The spot that we usually fish at is a pond that my grandpa made himself and then stocked on his farm. This is where our grandpa taught us the basic lessons of fishing.

Fishing isn’t hard at all, once you get used to it. There are some funny things that have happened while we were fishing. One time my brother was holding a big catfish, and it belly-flopped out of his hands and jumped back into the pond. Another time a fish broke my grandpa’s line, and the bobber was floating around the pond. Those were some fun times.

I like fishing because it’s fun and relaxing. I suggest you at least try fishing and see if you like it. I think the biggest fish I’ve caught was a bass that was at least a foot long.

Fishing has taught me a few things in life. Being patient is very important when you fish. If you’re patient enough, you have a better chance of catching a fish. It makes me feel good when I finally reel one in. I look forward to doing this in the summer, because it’s one of my favorite things to do with my grandpa.
