Are you looking for a fun new way to exercise and get fit? If so, speed and agility class could be just right for you. I started taking this class last fall and I really enjoy it!
You're probably wondering what speed and agility class is all about. Well, this class is a fast-moving exercise class that helps improve your coordination, balance, and speed. These are things that can help you in sports or just in everyday life. The class uses lots of teamwork and all different kinds of equipment. One day, you might be running through an obstacle course and the next day, you might be playing a game of fetch with tennis balls.
The class I go to is taught by AJ Nunziato, who is a certified strength and conditioning coach. I was surprised to find out that AJ graduated from Ward Melville High School, which is part of the Three Village school district where I go to school. AJ has won several baseball awards and has played professional baseball in Pittsburgh.
I sat down with AJ to ask him some questions about the class. AJ has been teaching speed and agility class for six years now. AJ's students are between ages 4 through college and even older. AJ told me his favorite exercise to use in class is the sled because it is so dynamic. This means that the sled exercise uses lots of breathing, leg strength, cardio, and teamwork. When I asked AJ why he wanted to teach this class, he shared that he really wanted to teach other athletes what he has learned. The class, which is offered through Infiniti Sports Performance, helps athletes be the best they can be.
I definitely recommend this class. If you want to try it, call AJ at Infiniti Performance, which is located at Retro Fitness. The address is 671 Old Town Rd. in Port Jefferson Station. The phone number is 631-828-4599.
