I read the book, “Lola Levine: Drama Queen,” by Monica Brown (Little Brown). It is easy to read, easy to enjoy and easy to understand. Main character Lola Lavine is back with a lot of drama. In this fun story, Lola has drama lessons and is going to have a class play. As Lola faces her fears with knobby knees and sweaty palms, her “dramatic” story will be entertaining for early readers. This book will be loved by youngsters looking for a pleasurable book to read in their spare time. This book will be loved especially by Judy Moody and Junie B. Jones fans. Lola has the charm of both characters.

As Brown describes the way Lola feels, you are placed in Lola’s shoes. She is loud like Junie B. Jones and sometimes moody (in a good way) like Judy Moody. This funny page turner will surely brighten your mood.

If you’re looking for a fun-filled realistic fiction book, featuring the adventures of a 7-year-old in a play with a surprise ending, read “Lola Levine: Drama Queen.”
