I like collecting autographs from my favorite athletes.
My favorite thing to have autographed is baseball bats. I have been collecting autographed sports memorabilia since I was about 3. I would go with my mom and dad to different shows at all different places in all different states. I have a baseball bat that is signed by Gary Carter. Another is signed by Eric Davis. I have a Polo Grounds baseball bat that is signed by Johnny Mize. I have a bat that is signed by Harmon Killebrew, Early Wynn, Bob Feller, Ernie Banks, Billy Williams, Billy Herman, Robin Roberts, Johnny Mize, Warren Spahn, Enos Slaughter and Ray Dandridge.
I also have a lot of other signed sports memorabilia, like autographed baseballs, autographed footballs, autographed hockey sticks, baseball cards, autographed lithographs and even some baseball jerseys. I also have a limited-edition Louisville Slugger Hall of Fame Triple Crown Champions bat numbered 262 of 1,000. That bat has facsimile autographs of Jimmie Foxx, Lou Gehrig, Roger Hornsby, Chuck Klein, Joe "Ducky" Medwick, Mickey Mantle, Frank Robinson, Carl Yastrzemski and Ted Williams. The bat also lists the years they won the Triple Crown.
Two of my favorite autographed baseballs are the ones autographed by David Wright and Nolan Ryan. I got my name Ryan because my dad's favorite baseball player was Nolan Ryan. Nolan Ryan was a great pitcher who struck out more batters than any other pitcher in the history of baseball. Nolan also threw more no-hitters than any pitcher.
I cannot wait to go on another vacation with my mom and dad so we can try to get some more autographed baseball bats. I hope we can get up to the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown.
I guess I'll have to let you know later if I get any more autographed sports memorabilia.
