Have you ever wondered what the key to everything is? Well, if you have this book you will find out. I read “The Key to Everything,” written by Pat Schmatz (Candlewick). These are some of the reasons why I enjoyed reading this book.

I enjoyed it because it was very interesting. It was interesting because in the book it kept saying this quote, “When you need some magic, squeeze it tight. Draphin and Mulligan and I will have your back.” Tash was in foster care until her uncle Kevin rescued her, and she loved her next-door neighbor Cap’n Jackie. A lot of magical things happen and it is all because of a special key.

In this story a draphin is a half-dragon, half-dolphin and Mulligan is a cat. Another reason why I found this book interesting is because the key only seemed to work on Cap’n Jackie. However, I found this book a little sad because something happened that will surprise you at the end of the story.

I really like this book. I felt that it was a good book for my age.
