Bay Shore has many great places for kids to visit. There are many ice cream shops, restaurants and pizza places, but here are three of my favorites:

Coyle’s Homemade Ice Cream at 75 Howells Rd., Bay Shore, was established in 1985. You can choose from more than 40 flavors. You can also take home one of their seven specialty cakes. It’s a great place to just stop by to get ice cream, and an excellent place to bring your friends. The ice cream is just the best. Yes, you can hang out there, and lots of kids do. For water fun, I recommend Shipwreck Cove Spray Park and the Bay Shore Marina. They are right next to each other on South Clinton Avenue.

Shipwreck Cove is incredibly clean, fully fenced in, big enough for everyone. It’s open to the public from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The phone number is 631-224-5404.

Bay Shore Marina is a beautiful spot for summer fun. There’s a restaurant, small beach, and a large dock area for boats. There is a park on the sand to play.
