We met Ariana Grande, who stars as Cat Valentine on the Nickelodeon show "Victorious," while she was in Manhattan recently. We watched her perform a few songs at a special concert sponsored by Kleenex.

What is your favorite store, and describe your sense of style?

My favorite store -- right now I love shopping online. One of my favorite sites to shop on is Nasty Gals. They have a bunch of really cute clothes and I love ModCloth as well because they have like a bunch of old '50s dresses, which is very cute to me. My style is very girlie and classic and old school. Anything girlie, flowery and pastel I like, really. I've worn this dress like 600 times.

Do you plan on doing movies?

Yeah, I would love to do a movie. I love acting and singing, so wherever I can find a place to do both of those things -- or one of them -- definitely I'm OK with.

How do you manage going into places without the paparazzi bothering you?

Well, I don't think I'm that famous yet. But they have gotten me a few times and it's really scary and annoying. They've caught me at some of my worst times. Sometimes you don't even know they're there. It's nice because it's nice to know that somebody cares enough to want to take your picture. So, of course, it's flattering, but it's, like, "Boy, come on, can't you, like, give me some warning or something so I could put on some makeup?"

Are there any downsides to being famous?

I don't know. I don't like calling myself that. But if I had to say . . . sometimes you don't really get much privacy, and sometimes people are a little bit invasive, but other than that, it's nice to know that people like what you're doing and they appreciate your work. So it's cool.

Do you have any siblings?

I have a brother. His name is Frankie and he's wonderful.

Packed schedule?

My schedule is very packed. I rarely get any time to take breaks, but I'm doing what I love, so that's enough for me.

If you could sing a duet with anyone, who would that be?

If I could sing a duet, I would love to sing with Bruno Mars; I'd love to sing with Justin Bieber.

Do you have any pets, and if so, what kind?

I have a dog. A very peculiar dog, a very quirky dog named Coco. She's almost 3 years old. She's, like, my favorite thing about living in L.A. She's my favorite part of coming home at the end of the day.

If you could star in any movie, what would it be?

I would love to be in a remake of "Little Shop of Horrors" and play Audrey. I would love that. That's one of my dream roles.

What is your favorite episode of "Victorious"?

I think "Terror on Cupcake Street," because I love the ones that we get to be together a lot. Like, some of the story lines, we're split up and doing all different things. Now we're pretty much all together, like, even Trina.

Are you going to be sad when "Victorious" ends?

Yeah . . . I don't even know what I'm going to do because it's been such a huge part of my life and I love the cast so much. They're like family. Like, when it's over, I think I'm going to be so sad.

Are you supporting any big events or charities?

I do a lot of work with St. Jude's children's hospital. My brother co-founded an organization called Broadway and South Africa that I'm involved with. Yeah, I think it's a way of giving back.
