What do you do when you get home from school or from the store? Do you go straight to playing video games, watching TV or playing on an iPhone? We have a great suggestion for you. We recommend crafts like knitting and crocheting. In our class, we’ve been bringing back these crafts and are enjoying them together. We learned that they’re fun and easy to do.

Knitting is an old-school craft that uses two needles and yarn. In knitting, the item can only be as wide as the needle is long. There are many different-sized needles and different thicknesses of yarn. You can knit so many things, including hats, scarves and mittens.

Crocheting is another old-school craft. It uses only one hook and yarn. There are many different sizes of crocheting hooks. There are also a lot of different things you can make, like huge blankets, funny hats and beautiful sweaters.

Another type of crocheting is on a loom. A loom is super simple and is great for beginners. All you need is a loom and a ball of yarn. You do not need any needles or hooks. You can make different patterns on hats that turn out fun and stylish.

In learning knitting and crocheting, we found that we made a connection with family members who have been doing these crafts for years. It was fun having our teacher show us how to do this and then working with our mothers and grandmothers on our projects and seeing how happy they were that we had something to do together.
