Many women wear makeup, but how about fourth- and fifth-grade girls? We think many girls wear makeup for special occasions, and some girls don’t go near makeup at all. We decided to ask the fourth- and fifth-grade girls what they think about wearing makeup at a younger age.
We wanted to know what types of makeup they are allowed to wear, if any at all. Their choices were none, blush, eyeshadow, lipstick, mascara and lip gloss. We also asked which makeup brands they use if they are allowed to wear makeup.
After surveying all of the fourth- and fifth-grade girls in our school, we found that the makeup that most girls are allowed to wear is lip gloss, with 44 votes. Mascara came in second with 42 votes, followed by blush with 35 votes, lipstick with 34 votes, eye shadow with 31 votes, and no makeup at all with 17 votes.
The most popular brand of makeup among fourth- and fifth-grade girls in our school is e.l.f. E.l.f. had 14 votes. We also found that most girls buy their makeup from Target or CVS.
