Moving is hard, and we all know that. That’s why we are here to help you.

When we moved, we were both uncomfortable at first. We didn’t feel good going to school. We both did not want to walk into another new school. On our first day of school, we were nervous to meet new students and teachers. Walking into our first new classes was terrifying because we didn’t know what to expect.

We found that using calming strategies was a great idea to deal with the nerves of moving. Juan prefers to listen to smooth jazz to relieve stress. Julian, on the other hand, pushed himself to talk to people to make new friends.

Our other friend, Cindy, has a great strategy too. She likes to sing pop songs. Another good idea is to listen to other people’s conversations. When you listen, you can hear what they are talking about and things you can relate to sometimes. It’s an easier way to make friends.

Moving can be hard on a person sometimes. But using strategies can help you on your journey when moving. Because we wrote this article together, we became new friends! Yes, that is another strategy.
