Old movies that kids will enjoy

Movies coming out these days are great, but have you seen any old movies? There’s a ton of old movies that kids like us would enjoy. Here are some great old movies that we think you will enjoy:

“THE PARENT TRAP” is a funny and exciting movie from 1998. The movie is about teenage twin sisters who swap places and try to reunite their divorced parents. The teenagers were separated and found each other in sleepaway camp. There was an earlier version from 1961 that kids might like as well.

“THE WIZARD OF OZ,” starring Judy Garland, was made in 1939. A tornado rips through Kansas, and Dorothy and her dog, Toto, are whisked away in their house to the magical land of Oz. The journey on the yellow brick road brings Dorothy and her new friends to the Wizard. This is a classic tale watched and loved by everyone.

“FINDING NEMO” is a cute, fun adventure released in 1993. Nemo, an adventurous young clownfish, is unexpectedly taken from his Great Barrier Reef home to a dentist’s office aquarium. You will love it even more because Ellen DeGeneres does one of the voices.

“HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL” is a great movie that all people will remember. It’s a musical and fun romantic movie that came out in 2006. “High School Musical” is about Troy Bolton, a star athlete, in a small town. He falls for nerd and beautiful girl Gabriella Montez. There’s a “High School Musical 2, 3 and 4,” and you should watch them all.

“E.T. THE EXTRA-TERRESTRIAL” This 1982 movie is about a boy who finds a friendly alien and helps him return to his home world.

“HOME ALONE” This movie was released in 1990. An 8-year-old boy must protect his house from burglars when he is accidentally left home alone during the Christmas vacation. There’s a “Home Alone 2” — you should watch them both.

“WILLY WONKA AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY” Are you into candy? Well, if you are, here’s a great movie about chocolate. This movie, released in 1971, is about a boy and his grandfather who win a golden ticket to the Willy Wonka Chocolate Factory. It will satisfy your sweet tooth.

“MARY POPPINS” If you like musicals and dream of a nanny with magical powers, you would love this musical fantasy. This classic Disney movie, released in 1964, is a must-see because it is supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.

“TOY STORY” Can you dream of toys that come to life? Well, this 1995 movie is a magical dream come true of your toys that come to life. This animated movie is about a toy cowboy who is jealous about a new spaceman figure who becomes a top toy in a boy’s room. You should watch this if you love your toys. If you enjoy the movie, watch “Toy Story 2” and “Toy Story 3.” Believe it or not, “Toy Story 4” is coming out next year!
