Paws for Parkinson's is a way to help with disease

Do you have a loved one or know someone with Parkinson's disease? The disease is hard and difficult for the person who has it and for his or her family, too. This disease has no cure, but people are trying to find one. There is a way to raise money to help and have fun doing it.

In the fall, Marjorie Post Park in Massapequa has a Paws for Parkinson's Walk. It starts at 9 a.m. and runs for a few hours. You register your family and your dog. You will walk a mile around the park, and the money you paid to register will be donated to research for the disease. If you don't like to get up in the morning, there are snacks and bagels to keep you going.

The walk is easy, and you will have a great time with your dog. I went to this event, and my dog, Bailey, was crazy because of all the other wonderful dogs that were participating.

It was fun, and I think you should do it. I even raised $25. For updates about the fall walk, go to the website
