UNICEF is important for kids with illnesses or kids in the hospital, and for those who are in need of medical attention. It is also for kids who need food or an education. The fourth graders in our school raise money to help UNICEF by making scarecrows. We made the scarecrows with straw, old baby clothes and a paper bag for the head.
Then we brought money from home. During school we went in the hallways and looked at the scarecrows. While we were looking, we dropped money in the boxes of the scarecrows we liked. We raised about $1,400 for UNICEF.
