Raspberry Pi computers are delectable fun

The Raspberry Pi is a computer about the size of a credit card. It was created by the Raspberry Pi Foundation in February 2012 and I like it a lot. It was invented to promote fun use of computers in schools for kids. It uses a simple programming application called Scratch.

I had an opportunity to enroll in a class where I would learn about Raspberry Pi. The introductory course focused on setting the computer up, logging on and off, giving the computer commands and playing games. One game I played was Minecraft. The intermediate course focused on making video games. I made a race-car driving game. You have to use the arrow keys on your keyboard to control the race car. The object of the game is to avoid the obstacles and stay on the road. If you like computers but want them your own way, try a Raspberry Pi. It is a delicious way to get into computers. An introductory one will cost about $40.
