One of the many new films to be released this year is “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.” This movie is phenomenal. It has the classic “Star Wars” vibe to it. This means that there is a plethora of action but the plot keeps the movie going.

There are many old characters but still the writers manage to introduce many new characters. The new imperial droid, K-2SO, is the replacement to C3-PO but the droid lacks some of the on-screen chemistry that C3-PO has. This new droid has more war knowledge and is not afraid of a battle like C3-PO is. Jyn (Felicity Jones) shows us the strength of a woman in the “Star Wars” saga. This character could maybe be better than 2015’s Rey in “The Force Awakens.” However, the beginning of the movie didn’t have your typical “Star Wars” opening, in that it did not include the lengthy foreword that proceeds all “Star Wars” movies giving a synopsis of events leading up to what is about to take place. Also, the opening song for the movie is a new. This might upset many long-time “Star Wars” fans.

There were many interesting scenes that make up this film. Some we found were very interesting and are our favorites. Some of these scenes helped link the two halves of the “Star Wars” franchise, episodes I to III and episodes IV to VI, into one story. We found that they helped combine the story and gave a nostalgic feel that relates to the older movies. To keep with the “Star Wars” theme, there were big fights and many strategic missions. One of these missions led to the big fight which led to the end of the movie. It reminds us of a scene from the fourth episode, when the protagonists had infiltrated the Death Star by using the stormtrooper costumes. However this was more complex and had many more parts compared with the 1977 movie.

The actors were really fantastic and the way that the movie plot went on was absolutely phenomenal. The props that were used in the movie followed the timeline of the movie’s saga and fit well. We think kids would like this action-packed film. The newly added robot helps make the movie more enjoyable by adding a comedic element to the plot. Even if you have never seen a “Star Wars” movie you can still see and like this movie for its action and comedy. If you are a “Star Wars” fan it really helps to understand the story to the fullest and it does not disappoint in the continuation of the story.
