Senior center visits bring joy to all

Every month on a Wednesday, seventh graders go to the Bridgehampton Senior Center. We love visiting and putting a big smile on residents' faces. All the seniors know so many students from every visit we make to the center. The class makes new and exciting friends every time we have a chance to go.

Whenever we go, the class prepares a special performance. The students dance, sing or play an instrument for them. Some of our class serve the seniors food, drinks and dessert while others share stories with them. We also do some fun crafts with them, coloring or puzzles.

During the past several months our class has really had a chance to get to know the seniors better. We are very grateful to have the opportunity to visit once a month. Not only do we put a bright smile on their faces, but they put a smile on our faces too. They all show great love and respect to all the students in the class. We definitely have a lot to learn from these amazing people and their life experiences.
