Survey: Family time is great when schools allow for it

At our school, the students are given a day when all teachers give no homework to their students, and this day is called “Family Night.”

So we decided to take a survey asking students if they spend time with their family on Family Night and if so, what activities they do with them. We walked around the school, passing these surveys out to classes.

Of the 79 surveys we passed out, 64 stated that they do spend time with their family on Family Night and do activities such as playing board games and watching TV with them. Only 15 said they didn’t spend time with their family.

We feel that many other schools should follow in these footsteps and do the same, because as seen in the surveys, it does bring families closer together and help them take a break from stress at school.
