Teddy bears -- smart, lovable dogs

Teddy bears are designer-bred dogs combined with bichon frise and Shih Tzu breeds. Teddy bears grow to about 7 to 9 pounds. They are family-friendly dogs.

One special fact is they have hair, not fur. The type of skin they have is dander. Teddy bears need a lot of grooming because they have a lot of hair. They love to snuggle with you.

Teddy bears are very smart dogs. For example, they remember many things such as routine, where you keep treats and food, and know how to open an object. They have a lot of energy. My teddy bear, Bella, likes to eat out of the garbage, and we are trying to make her stop. But we are impressed that she learned how to open doors.

She's excited every time we get home. She shows her love with lots of kisses and snuggles.
