Thomas’s Ham ‘N’ Eggery Diner has been around since 1946, and has been a family business since 1973. Owner Thomas Koukoulas keeps things running smooth. If you live in the Carle Place area, you know this place and it one of best diners around.

It is known for its breakfast, especially the silver dollar pancakes. But the diner also has meals for lunch and dinner, which are almost as good as the breakfast. One popular dish, and also the owner’s favorite, is a breakfast dish. It is called huevos rancheros. Huevos rancheros is two fried eggs on top of tortillas covered in Spanish salsa (which is like a sauce) with melted Jack cheese on the top. On the side, black beans and Spanish rice are served. Another popular breakfast dish is banana-stuffed French toast. At the diner, all of its waitresses and waiters are super nice and polite. The diner also sells homemade muffins.

The best-seller and also the owner’s favorite, again, is the cinnamon coffee cake muffin. The diner also sells other desserts such as rice pudding, delicious pies, fruit medleys, and strawberries served with whipped cream.

It is located at 325 Old Country Rd., Carle Place. Call 516-333-3060.
