Are bullies's parents to blame?

I think the parents of bullies should get a ticket and pay a fine. I think this because even though the school informs the bully’s parents, the parents may not correct their child’s bullying behaviors. The bullying could continue.

Even if the parents do talk to their child, that child may choose to continue bullying. If the parents of a bully are fined, the bully may have more reason to stop since their parents are losing money.

Depending on the bullying offense, I believe the fine should be between $150 to $200. I feel this amount of money would make a significant impact on a bully’s family. Parents of a bully will probably be more willing to work with their child to help them stop bullying others.

The bully may also feel the financial strain that the bullying has caused because their family might not be able to afford to do the things they enjoy if they have to pay bullying fines.
