Democrat Point is an amazing, beautiful and secluded area of Robert Moses State Park.
You can get there only three ways. The first way is a very long walk along the ocean headed west from Field 2. The second is by a four-wheel-drive vehicle with a special pass from the New York State parks department. The last way is by private boat throwing out an anchor and walking to shore. Either way, it’s worth it!
It is a great place to relax and see little fish swimming all over. It is a good place to surf-cast with a good pole and bait. Make sure to bring a comfy beach chair to enjoy the day and the views. The interesting part about this area is you can hang out on the ocean side or walk around and go to the bayside by the Fire Island Inlet. The water here is calmer so you can swim, kayak, and even throw a football around in the water. It is a great place to see the sunset, too.
To keep this a great place, make sure to take all your trash home with you and respect the wildlife. This area has no restrooms, trash cans or places to eat, so make sure you come prepared. If you do, you will have an awesome day.
