The Sagamore Hill National Historic Site in Oyster Bay is an educational and fascinating place for kids to learn about President Theodore Roosevelt and his family.

At Sagamore Hill there are inside and outside tours. On the outside tour the guide tells you about the rooms and stories of what the Roosevelts did in them. It was considered the summer White House while President Roosevelt was in office.

On the inside tour you learn about the rooms and certain items inside, whose rooms they were, and then you got to explore the house. There is also a museum with a scavenger hunt for kids. There is also a scavenger hunt for the nature trail outside. The grounds are beautiful and there’s plenty to do and see. It is so worth seeing now because they just finished all the repairs and refurbishment. It took years to complete the renovation. Sagamore Hill is interesting and fun for people of all ages.
