Are you looking for a way to make a couple bucks during the summer? Between trips to the beach and vacations with family, you will probably find yourself with some free time to earn a little extra money. Here are suggestions to help put some cash in your pocket:

  • Be a mother’s helper or baby-sit
  • Mow lawns in your neighborhood
  • Wash cars
  • Train pets
  • Tutor younger kids
  • Recycle for people
  • Have a bake sale
  • Grow and sell fruits and vegetables from your garden
  • Be a dog walker

Mowing lawns is one of the best ways to earn money in the summer. If your family owns a mower, you can go around town and get some regular customers who want their lawns cut for a reasonable price every week. A professional landscaper can cost a lot of money, so your neighbors might prefer to let you cut their lawns at a better price. Washing cars is another fun and easy way to make some extra cash. All you have to do is get a group of friends to help.

We both have gardens in our backyards. The fruits and vegetables we grow include lettuce, tomatoes, carrots, peppers, cucumbers, watermelons and even mint. Since these gardens often produce a huge amount of fruits and vegetables, instead of wasting them, if you have a wagon or a large basket, you can walk some of this fresh produce around your neighborhood and sell it to your neighbors.

Keep busy, and good luck earning extra cash!
