Kidville, a popular destination for children's classes, athletics and more, is coming to another Long Island location.

Set to open in August, the new Kidville Wantagh will be located at the Willow Wood Shopping Center (1183 Wantagh Ave.). The first Kidville on Long Island opened last year in Roslyn Heights.

The new 4,000-square-foot Kidville will feature three classrooms, an indoor play space and a retail boutique. Developmental classes will include Rockin' Railroad music class, Big Muscle Builders, Run Wiggle Paint & Giggle, My Big Messy Art Class, Ballet Tea Party, Big Muscles for Little Babies, Wee Wiggle and Kidville Sports.

Owner, Alexis Fritz, a mom and entrepreneur from Oceanside, realized the need for more engaging and exploratory early childhood developmental programs for children ages newborn through 6.

"As a Long Island mother I always want what is best for my child," she said. "Kidville's unique approach to childhood development and engagement attracted me to the franchise. When I learned more about the imaginative and innovative programs, I quickly decided I wanted my community to benefit from what Kidville has to offer. Knowing that early childhood development specialists were involved in the creation of the programs gave me even greater confidence that this franchise was for me."

Birthday parties can be held here as well for children up to age 8, with customizable party themes such as Royal Princess and Knight Party, Toot Toot Beep Beep Transportation Party and Slumber Away During the day.

Free trial classes will be offered during the first two weeks of Kidville's opening. The center will be open on weekdays from 9:15 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; classes and parties will be scheduled on Saturdays and Sundays. For more information, visit
