A free “Lemonade Pedal” during which bicycle riders — kids and adults — will stop at various lemonade stands in Long Beach is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. on Thursday.

The event begins at Kennedy Plaza with a bike safety check, then the group will leave at 10:30 a.m. on a guided, scenic ride to lemonade stands stationed at schools and playgrounds.

Children younger than 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Children younger than 14 must wear a helmet — loaner helmets will be available. The event is primarily sponsored by the New York Coalition for Transportation Safety. Advance registration suggested. For more information, call 516-571-6808.
