LI second-graders talk holiday traditions

Heidi Last's second-grade students at Forest Avenue Elementary School in West Babylon spent part of the day creating holiday poems and art work, so I thought it would be fun to talk to them about their family's holiday traditions. From favorite holiday songs and dishes to cultural rituals, here's what they talked about.

"My favorite holiday tradition is to play Hot Potato with my family," said Milton Acosta, a second grader from Forest Avenue School in West Babylon. "We go to my great-grandma's house every year. My favorite song is 'Jingle Bells.'" (Dec. 5, 2012)
