When North Fork resident Gary Osborne became a parent, he and his partner made it their mission to find the best quality products for their two children. He soon became overwhelmed by the large selection of baby products and clothing, and often thought about how useful it would be if someone were to deliver a package of top quality children's products to his doorstep each season.

With a background in fashion design, Osborne put his idea into action. A few months later, Oliver & Adelaide, a customized gift subscription service named for Osborne's two children, was born.

The unique delivery service for kids features seasonal goodies such as clothing, toys and nursery furnishings, plus wellness and comfort items for mom and dad. Osborne said he conceived the idea to make finding top quality luxury items easier for parents.

"I work with dozens of American-based companies," he said. "After choosing the items, I personally deliver what I like to call a 'whole lifestyle' package to each family."

The seasonal packages are intended for kids ages 0-3. What makes this service different from others is that every gift package is completely personalized.

Here's how it works: After signing up on on, members get a call from Osborne requesting information about their needs. He asks questions about the child or children, family pets, siblings, favorite things, allergies and more. Then, he builds a customized package that includes monogrammed clothing, toys engraved with names and birthdays, and other items according to the type of bundle you choose.

Packages may include a mobile, limited edition wall art, hand-sewn stuffed animals, American-made wooden toys, pottery suitable for toddlers, tea sets for little girls, and a variety of clothing, accessories and blankets.

Prices start at $375 for one season and can run as high as $3,200 for the year. Packages include about 12 products.
