Fifteen-year-old Taylor Sinett from Sands Point will be signing her book "Weasel on an Easel" at Harborfest in Port Washington on Sunday.

Sinett wrote the book for her cousin who suffers from ulcerative colitis, a chronic disease of the colon. The suggest donation for the signed book is $10, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to the Chrohn's and Colitis Foundation of America.

"Weasel on an Easel" follows Fredda, a little weasel with big dreams, who faces many obstacles on her journey towards achieving them. But no matter how many times Fredda is told 'no,' she is still determined to never give up. The book addresses self-acceptance, resilience and perseverance despite all odds, similar to Sinett's cousin's grace and positivity in the face of a sometimes debilitating condition.

Harborfest Dock Day will take place at Town Dock, lower Main Street in Port Washington from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Families can learn about nautical history through activities focused on the waterfront as well as a 100-vendor craft show, free art classes and more for kids. The event is free.
