Kidz Entertainment, a Long Island-based toy company, is donating educational products to assist Long Beach children during the continuing superstorm Sandy recovery efforts.
At 10 a.m. today, the founder of Kidz Entertainment, Diane Baumann of Baldwin, will be holding a special donation and reading for Long Beach students from West School Elementary at Lindell Elementary School (601 Lindell Blvd.). The children from West School Elementary are currently attending school at Lindell Elementary School until construction and renovations are completed in the wake of Sandy.
Baumann will be reading her "Show Dog," "Show Cat" and "Pansie the Piglet" picture books. In addition, Kidz Entertainment will donate 92 boys and 81 girls pieces of "Show Dog" products which contains a picture book, CD, sheet music, companion coloring book and a sundry bag (for the boys) and a velvet Dalmatian handbag (for the girls). Seven girls will receive the "Show Cat" picture book set which comes with similar products.
“I'm very glad that I could do something to help the children of the West Elementary School who have been displaced from their school since superstorm Sandy," Baumann said. Having firsthand knowledge of the devastation, I'm glad that I can donate these gifts to the children of Long Beach."
