If your kids can't wait until the Christmas season to meet Santa Claus, you're in luck. Old St. Nick is coming to Adventureland in Farmingdale this month.
Throughout July, Adventureland's Helping Hands Foundation will be collecting toys for Stony Brook Children's Hospital and the Ronald McDonald House of Long Island.
What's more, Santa will be heading to Adventureland on July 22 and 29 from 5 to 7 p.m. to take pictures with kids. There will also be activities, live music and more.
Along with the Helping Hands Foundation and Adventureland, Cox Media's 102.3 WBAB and 106.1 BLI are also hosting these events. Toys can be dropped off at Adventureland's main ticket booth or the back ticket booth every day through July 31 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Donors will receive a free giveaway for each toy they donate. The most-needed toys for the Christmas in July event include action figures/dolls, board games, puzzles, iTunes or Amazon gift cards, books/journals, DVDs, costume jewelry, remote controlled cars/trucks, art supplies, craft kits, science sets and Legos. Plush or stuffed animals and toy weapons will not be accepted.
