Kick off the December holidays with free arts and crafts projects and a storybook reading about the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday in the lobby of the Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts, 71 E. Main St., Patchogue. Reservations are encouraged at 631-207-1313.
Stay afterward and trade a nonperishable food item for a photo with Santa. Food will be donated to the Patchogue Neighbors INN, which combats hunger and homelessness. The Patchogue Village Christmas Parade is also Saturday and begins at 6 p.m. on Main Street in downtown Patchogue.
