Every Sunday through the end of August, the Planting Fields Foundation is offering a family program called Nature Sundays for Children at Planting Fields Arboretum State Historic Park, 1395 Planting Fields Rd., Oyster Bay.

Each week has a different theme; all programs begin at noon, run rain or shine and are free, but there’s an $8 parking fee. Advance registration is required. “We do not take walk-ins, because we sell out,” says Antigone Zaharakis, education coordinator. To register, call 516-922-8668 or email education@plantingfields.org

Here is the remaining schedule for the summer:

July 24 Radiant Rainforest. Visit the main greenhouse and see plants such as the banana plant and chocolate tree. Do a rain forest craft. For ages 6 and older.

July 31 Dream Tale Puppets. See “Three Little Pigs” and “Little Red Riding Hood,” each 25 minutes long with a quick intermission between the two. Best for children 3 and older.

Aug. 7 Tremendous Trees. Learn how to identify trees by their leaves and bark. For children 6 and older.

Aug. 14 Revolution Yoga. Bring a yoga mat, towel or blanket. For children 5 to 10.
