Long Island’s own Danny Weinkauf and his Red Pants Band will play three shows at the Long Island Children’s Museum in Garden City Thanksgiving weekend.

The band will perform songs from their new album, “Red Pants Band.” Songs include “Picky Eater” and “One Big Happy Family.” Weinkauf, a Grammy award-winning musician who lives in Lynbrook, is the bassist for They Might Be Giants and wrote several of that band’s children’s tunes, including “I Am a Paleontologist.”

Shows are at 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 25, and 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 26. Tickets are $9 per seat with museum admission; $12 theater only.
